Hurley hails from a Rust Belt town in the Midwest. For all you East Coasters: yes, there are flavors of Midwest other than “corn.” Nonetheless, it sucked, so he fled to Washington, D.C. in late 2007. He did a lot of things before that, but they hardly matter. Hurley lives in Brookland.
